Partial Dentures are a great solution if only some of your natural teeth are missing. They can make it easier to chew and speak, help support cheeks and lips so your face doesn’t sag, and prevent shifting of your remaining natural teeth. Complete dentures are custom-made, full-jaw dentures featuring replacement teeth that are fitted to an acrylic base. The base is made to match the color of your natural oral tissue. New dentures are a big step, and they can take some time to get used to. You may experience a few common issues, including increased saliva, the feeling that your dentures are too loose or too big for your mouth, irritation and soreness. These issues are normal and should get better over time. You may need to come in periodically for adjustments. And even though you don’t have your natural teeth, you’ll need to come in annually for an exam.
